The Crown Royal Stoves – Outdoor Wood, Coal & Corn Furnaces are a non pressurized system designed to be located virtually next to your firewood storage for convenience and is normally filled once or twice a day, depending on the temperature outside. The firebox and outer drum is a round design, with the shaker grates and ash pan built into the unit for easy cleaning and longer burn times. Early in January 2007, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) initiated a voluntary program for manufacturers of outdoor wood furnaces. The EPA’s primary intent is to encourage manufacturers to produce cleaner Outdoor Wood-fired Hydronic Heaters (OWHH) models. The EPA also wants those who buy an OWHH to buy the cleanest models available, which are those that meet EPA performance verified levels. To participate in this program, manufacturers commit their best efforts to develop cleaner models with goals of distributing their units starting in April 2007. Because of this program we signed a partnership agreement with the EPA to promote the manufacture and sale of cleaner outdoor furnaces. GreenTech Manufacturing is working closely with EPA accredited laboratory, Intertek Testing Services NA Inc, to ensure all our furnaces meet and pass the new testing guidelines under Phase I of the EPA OWHH Program.
